Fictionkin and Nonhuman Identity Survey 1: Results
Author: Lucheek. Last Updated: December 16, 2020The Survey Itself
The "Fictionkin and Nonhuman Identity Survey 1" was created on Google Forms by Lucheek, and made public for answers on November 12, 2020. A link to the form was posted on Lucheek's social media (Twitter, Tumblr, Pillowfort, Mastodon, and DeviantART.) Lucheek encouraged the form to be spread through social media. The form collected responds until December 16, 2020, with a total of 40 individual responses.
It contained 15 questions. These results will only publish the responses of 14 of the questions, omitting the question that asked to list specific "kin-types" as this information could be used to individually identify folks who responded. (Also, that specific question was left blank by multiple responses.)
A summary of the answers are included here, but not interpreted. Lucheek is not a social scientist- she only wanted to collect data that might be useful for future fictionkin and nonhuman folks. Please consider that the relativly limited number of responses, and the limited spread of the survey itself, will greatly affect the kind of data gathered. Still, might hopefully be better than nothing.
